Queenstown Premier League
The Queenstown Premier League is our top-level adult league, created for experienced players who want to compete in a structured, fast-paced environment — while still keeping things fun and respectful.
QPL brings together U21 players continuing their development, former NZIHL players, and top senior players who are committed to high-quality hockey.
QPL is designed not just as a competitive league, but as a developmental platform for both senior and younger players. To support this, each team will play two exhibition games against the U18 Junior Stampede squad during the season.

All players must register on esport for their QIHC & IHNZ Senior Membership
How to register
The league will consist of three teams, each led by an assigned captain. Players who express their interest before the due date will be entered into the draft, where captains will select balanced rosters to promote both development and competition.
36 players selected to ensure a high-level league.
Deposit: $100 required at registration to secure commitment.
Registration closes April 18 at 5pm.
Draft in person: April 18 at 6pm (location TBC).
Unselected players receive a full deposit refund.
Remaining balance charged for selected players on May 1st with instalment option on June 1st.
