I see the season has already started, can I still join?
Yes! New players are welcome to join at any point during the season.
Isn't ice hockey dangerous?
Like any sport, ice hockey carries some risk, but with proper gear, coaching, and rules in place, it's a safe and rewarding sport. We emphasize safety, respect, and skill development at every level.
Where are some places to buy hockey gear?
There are no hockey gear shops in Queenstown, but most equipment can be ordered online and shipped within New Zealand through hockey gear companies.
What gear do I need to play adult hockey?
Full appropriate equipment is required, as per IIHF regulations. Players born after Dec 31, 1974 must wear at least a visor, and a neck guard is strongly recommended for all senior players.
